Zipline Hawaii

Zipline Hawaii -- Imagine yourself screaming across the lush valleys
hooked into a harness with a set of pulleys on a steel cable.

It looks like a heck of a lot of fun --- and guess what, it is!

On the island of Maui Skyline Eco-Adventures will take you down five different zipline cables.

You can choose from super-short to super-long after hiking for five minutes into a eucalyptus forest.

Each progressive cable gets a little bit better than the last until the final cable which is 710 feet long and over a gorge.

An excellent crew will assist you and they take up to 12 people at a time. The pricing at the time of this publishing was $74. You can bring along non zipping friends, but they'll have to pay $34 just to watch you enjoy.

In order to zipline Hawaii you need to weigh between 80 and 260 pounds. If you are afraid of heights, choose another activity unless you are more than prepared to push your limits.

A second company on Maui is Skyline Eco-Adventures Ka'anapali. They have 8 lines with the longest at over 1000 feet. If you meet the right conditions, you might exceed 30 mph. Yahoo!

This hawaii zipline is located on Kahoma Ranch above Ka'anapali with stunning views of West Maui, Molokai and Lanai. These guys are a bit pricey at $140 for a 4 hour tour.

Kauai offers three excellent companies.

Princeville Ranch Adventures has 8 lines with the longest being 750 feet.

They offer a diverse selection of ziplines separated by a mile of hiking. You'll also find an exceptionally delightful swimming hole.

The price at the time of writing is $135 and that does include a swim at the waterfall and lunch.

Kauai Backcountry Adventures has 7 ziplines with the longest being 940 feet. All of these hawaii ziplines are over the same valley.

These guys are super cautious which is great in one way -- a bit of a detriment to the super adventurous. Pricing is $120 at the time of writing and this also includes lunch and a stream swim.

Just Live takes you into a giant grove of Cook Island Pines. You will need to cross two challenging bridges which might be difficult for the less adventurous.

The drawback of this company is that the longest zipline is only 350 feet with a good deal of safety procedures. Pricing is the least at $99, but doesn't include lunch or any swimming.
