University of Hawaii

Graduates of institutions of secondary learning in Hawaii most often either enter directly into the work force or attend colleges and universities. While a number choose to attend colleges and universities on the mainland or elsewhere, the majority choose to attend one of several institutions of higher learning in Hawaii.

University of Hawaii

The largest of these institutions is the University of Hawaii System. It is comprised of: (1) the flagship research university located at Manoa (Mānoa); (2) two comprehensive campuses located in Hilo and West Oahu; and an additional (7) seven Community Colleges. Students who choose private education attend Brigham Young University Hawaii, Chaminade University of Honolulu, Hawaii Pacific University, or the University of the Nations.
