Hawaii Submarine Tours

Hawaii Submarine Tours -- I'm a bit claustrophobic, O.K. ... a lot, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was so entranced with the beauty under the ocean that I quickly forgot my initial hesitant feelings.

|
Let's start with the island of Oahu...
It's the Atlantis Submarine and two different subs travel off the shore of Oahu.
In order to get out to the submarine, you'll need to catch a boat from the Hilton Hawaiian Village pier.

Here is a photo of Taylor, whose Mom sent this to us. He had his camera along,
but couldn't take his eyes off of the wonderland outside long enough
to snap some pics.

Here we are about to dive under the water ... just like you see in the movies.
I enjoyed the Oahu sub trips as they travel out to sunken ships, a downed airplane and several artificial reefs. |

The Oahu Atlantis Submarine goes deeper than 100 feet.
The sub is a 64 passenger vessel and the trip is
approximately 40 minutes. 808-973-9811

On the island of Maui, you will also find the Atlantis Submarine company.
Their submarine is a bit smaller than the two that are run out of Oahu. This sub holds 48 people.
Leaving from Lahaina, you'll head out to a gorgeous reef and also visit the Carthaginian, a sunken ship wreck. 808-667-2224

On the Big Island of Hawaii, they also run the 48 person Atlantis Submarine.
A most gorgeous dive takes you to the spectacular reef in Kailua Bay.
Cameras require at least a 400 speed film, without the flash,
for the best quality photos. 808-329-6626
