Hawaii Dinner Cruise

Hawaii Dinner Cruise -- should you do it? Well, heck ya! This is such a delightful way to spend an evening, filled with sunset, food, friends and possibly some 'rum punch'!

Want to take a Hawaii Dinner Cruise?

Assuming you are somewhat comfortable with the odd swell and eating at the same time, there are dozens of options available.

There are boats ranging from large, single hulled cruisers that will hold more than 100 folks to 50 foot catamaran sailboats holding a few dozen diners.

On the island of Oahu, the majority of the sailing dinner cruises depart from Ala Wai Harbor near Waikiki. A few depart from Waianae on the West Side of the island approximately a one hour drive from Waikiki.

On the Big Island, the majority of the cruises leave from Kona. A number of large boats cater to the sunset cocktail crouds.

The gorgeous seaport of Lahaina on Maui has numerous options and Kihea in the south also has a harbor.

The island of Kauai offers cruises from Port Allen including those to the Napili Coast.

Pricing is reasonable with approximately 4 hour cruises being $85 through to $110. A two hour cruise runs from $60 - $80.

Moonlight evening dinner cruises from Waikiki are such a delight as you can drink in the sights of the harbor along with your cocktails.

Placid evening waters make Maui my favorite spot for a hawaii dinner cruise.

My favorite is the Maui Princess as it is a good sturdy 120 foot yacht that holds over 100 passengers.

The pricing is $80 give or take a few dollars by the time you read this. That includes prime rib and chicken, an open bar and live entertainment.

I made the mistake of thinking that my Mai Tai tasted a little lame and asked them to help me out. MISTAKE ... don't forget that you are at sea. The fresh air definitely can mask what that free alcohol is doing to you. Easy does it ...

There's nothing more delightful than a slow cruise in the sun's golden hour to make you feel 'everything is right with the world'.
