Hawaii Beachfront Cottages
|
If you are lucky enough to stay in one of the Hawaii beachfront cottages available, it will be a memorable experience. Even writing these words evokes the images we enjoyed putting together this feature. Yes, I DON'T hate my job. We spent 3 weeks traveling around the islands for this feature.

This was my favorite of the
Hawaii Beachfront Cottages.

This cottage is on the island of Oahu.
Oahu, known as "The Gathering Place", is the third largest of the Hawaiian Islands and most populous of the islands in the State of Hawaii. The state capital Honolulu is located on the southeast coast. Including small close-in offshore islands such as Ford Island and the islands in Kaneohe Bay and off the eastern coast.

This cottage is on the island of Lanai.
Lānai is the sixth-largest of the Hawaiian Islands. It is also known as the Pineapple Island because of its past as an island-wide pineapple plantation. The only town is Lānai City, a small settlement. The island is somewhat comma-shaped, with a width of 18 miles in the longest direction. |

This cottage is on the west coast of Maui.
The island has experienced rapid population growth in recent years with Kīhei one of the most rapidly growing towns in the United States (see chart, below). The growth is occurring because many people, having visited Maui, decide to move or retire to the island. |

Just couldn't resist this addition. After traveling and writing I often finished my day with a cocktail right here! |

This cottage is on the
Big Island of Hawaii.
Hawaii is by far the largest island, and is often called the "Big Island" or "Big Isle" to avoid confusion with the state as a whole.
This archipelago is physiographically and ethnologically part of the Polynesian subregion of Oceania.
